UNA Serviced Apartment is a 48-storey urban residence in Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur, developed by SDB. UNA combines contemporary high-rise living with tropical design principles, offering residents both comfort and environmental responsiveness.
The building is distinguished by its rectilinear architecture, complemented by the use of passive ventilation and shading techniques that bring filtered light and airflow into everyday spaces.
Use of PBM Ventilation Blocks
PBM’s concrete vent blocks were used strategically to enhance both performance and façade articulation:
VB 1905.100, VB 303.125, VB 306.125, and VB 606.125 were installed at various locations including:
•Car park screening walls
•Utilitarian balconies on the rooftop
•Extensive external window panels
These ventilated features help regulate interior temperature, reduce glare, and promote natural cross-ventilation. Their varied shapes add texture, rhythm, and light-play across the tower’s elevation, aligning with UNA’s vision of an energy-conscious vertical community.
