A residential tower designed around the breeze.
Lumos Residence is a contemporary high-rise residential development located in the heart of Kuching. Designed by MNSC Architects, the project embodies sustainable urban living with a strong emphasis on natural ventilation, passive cooling, and minimalist architectural language. Its clean-lined concrete structure is enhanced by functional elements that double as aesthetic features.
Use of PBM Ventilation Blocks
PBM’s concrete ventilation blocks VB 301.125 and VB 1912.100 were selected for both their performance and design value. The VB 301.125 blocks are featured as vertical shading elements across full-height stairwell cores and facades, creating a visually rhythmic screen that promotes airflow while offering privacy and solar protection. VB 1912.100, with its finer grid pattern, is applied at intermediate levels and internal spaces, adding another layer of texture and light diffusion. Together, they form a consistent architectural language that complements the building’s raw concrete and green façade concept.
