Project Overview
A serene mosque inside a breathable envelope.
Masjid Damansara Perdana stands as a serene spiritual sanctuary seamlessly integrated into a bustling urban setting. With a minimalist yet modern architectural expression, the mosque features natural ventilation, daylighting, and thoughtful materials to promote both environmental and human comfort.
A striking highlight of the project is its extensive use of concrete ventilation blocks, which soften the building’s form while allowing cross-ventilation and filtered light—a balance between function and faith-inspired beauty.

Use of PBM Ventilation Blocks
To articulate its architectural language and passive design approach, the mosque features two signature PBM VentBlocks:
•VB 70.100
Deployed as a lightweight screen wall with rectangular profiles, this block was installed vertically across internal corridors, acting as both partition and sunshade.
•VB 191.100
Installed extensively across the mosque’s façade and courtyard edges, this grid-style vent block provides uniformity, shadow play, and improved airflow while framing open views of the surrounding greenery.
These blocks were combined to create a layered, breathable envelope that transitions from open to enclosed spaces with elegance. The thoughtful selection enhances the mosque’s sense of openness while maintaining privacy and climate responsiveness.
