Product Description —
The Cube Slab carries a 3×3 grid of recessed grooves that segment the 300×300mm surface into nine equal squares. The pattern visually scales down larger paved areas and introduces a geometric rhythm without changing the underlying module size.
Available in 60mm and 80mm thickness. Suited to walkways, courtyards, and feature paving where visible articulation is preferred over a plain finish.
Application
- Pedestrian walkways and footpaths
- Garden paths and patios
- Courtyards and plaza paving
- Public parks and recreational zones
- Bus stops and pedestrian waiting areas
Key Characteristics
- Manufactured from precast concrete for compressive load resistance and dimensional consistency
- Available in two thicknesses: 60mm for pedestrian use, 80mm for light vehicular load
- Three standard colours: Grey, Black, Red - consistent batch colouring through pigment integration
- Slip-resistant surface texture suited to outdoor use in tropical climate
- Modular format allows individual slab replacement without disturbing the wider area

Installation Notes
- Install on a compacted crusher-run sub-base with a screeded sand bedding layer
- Maintain 3-5mm joint width between slabs to allow for thermal movement
- Use a rubber mallet to bed each slab - avoid striking with metal tools
- Provide a minimum 1:60 surface fall for outdoor drainage
- Refer to the full Installation Guide PDF in the Downloads section for complete site preparation, jointing, and finishing instructions
FAQ —
What thicknesses are available for PBM concrete paving slabs?
Two standard thicknesses are available: 60mm for pedestrian areas, and 80mm for light vehicular load such as residential driveways.
Can these slabs be used for driveways?
Yes – specify the 80mm thickness with a cement-stabilised bedding layer for residential driveways and light vehicular zones. The 60mm thickness is intended for pedestrian use only.
How many slabs do I need per square metre?
Coverage depends on slab size: 25 pcs/m² for 200×200mm, 11.1 pcs/m² for 300×300mm, and 6.25 pcs/m² for 400×400mm. We recommend ordering 5-10% additional quantity to allow for cutting and breakages.
Are the colours consistent across production batches?
Pigments are integrated into the concrete mix to deliver consistent batch colouring. Minor variation between production batches is normal in pigmented concrete; we recommend ordering the full project quantity in a single delivery where possible.
What is the recommended joint width?
3-5mm between slabs is standard for pedestrian areas. The joint allows for thermal expansion and provides space for jointing sand to lock the modules in place.
How are concrete paving slabs cleaned and maintained?
Routine cleaning with water and a stiff brush is sufficient. For stains, use a mild detergent. Pressure washing is acceptable but should be carried out at moderate pressure to avoid dislodging joint sand.
Can custom sizes or colours be ordered?
Standard sizes and colours cover most project requirements. For custom dimensions or colours on larger volume orders, please contact the PBM sales team directly.
Will concrete pavers experience efflorescence?
Efflorescence may occur on any cementitious product. This is a natural phenomenon caused by soluble salts and does not affect the structural performance of the pavers.
Note: All concrete pavers require an adequate thickness of well-compacted basecourse to ensure optimal pavement performance and longevity. Tolerance of ± 3mm in product dimension is to be expected. Efflorescence may happen on any cementitious product. Website images for illustration purpose, final selection should be made from actual product samples.
